Welcome to Let’s Play Music: PRESTO! You are about to begin an enriching experience that holds the power to change lives! Presto is the same, amazing Let's Play Music curriculum that has been revamped to appeal more to the older beginner.
Presto is an accelerated 2-year program that builds complete musicianship. In Presto, your child will be taught proper piano technique, vocal training, ear training, sight reading and sight singing using solfege, music history, music appreciation, advanced music theory, composition, improvisation, transposition, advanced rhythm study and so much more!
We are truly creating a well rounded musician who is fluent in the language of music - and we do it all in a fun, snappy style that the "tween" age loves!
Presto is taught in a semi-private/small group setting of 3-4 students. Which allows the teacher to fine tune the child's technique and spend individual time with each student, while also reaping the benefits of group classes.
Presto is for the beginning pianist age 7 to 12, whether they have had a year or two of piano lessons or no piano lessons at all.
Most likely, those students who already have had a year or so of piano haven't studied all areas of music. In fact, they most likely have only dabbled a little in rhythm, have some note reading skills, and developed some finger strength. We include an optional "challenge" section written into the Presto curriculum to satisfy the appetite of hard working students and that of students who already have some finger dexterity built from previous piano lessons.
If your child is struggling with traditional lessons, it's time to take a look at Presto. Children will look forward to their lessons every week, and come home excited and motivated to practice!
